I was going to write a post today about something totally different – but I just read the latest blog post from my video buddy Steve Washer over at Brainy Video.
And I think you should go read it. You’ll find it here:
Apple Leaves The Building – The End Of Final Cut Pro
The post is about Apple ‘scrapping’ Final Cut Pro and moving to a totally different version – called Final Cut X. But Steve is a perceptive guy, and he wonders whether this move may signal a more alarming strategy by Apple for those of us who love our Macs – and that is a transition away from a company that makes computers that work really well and into a company that makes expensive gadgets that kind of do the job that a computer does.
Here’s the link again. Go read the article, leave Steve a comment, tell him I said ‘Hi,’ and if you love Mac computers pray to whatever Gods you hold dear that either Steve is wrong, or that if he’s right that there’s a garage somewhere that’s gonna be the birthplace for a new company that makes computers that work.

P.S. Commenting is turned off – that’s so you can leave some comments at Steve’s place!
